I agree. Jimmy Carr is a massive cunt. I hate the semi-camp, tax-dodging, champagne-socialist twat.

But he's right about how society thinks it's OK to be racist about gypsies.

And the Welsh. The cunts.

That's seriously slim pickings, Griff.

Re: Fury v Joshua
Povetkin wobbled him early from memory. He looked good against Pulev. Think you're a little harsh on Klitschko there, who was in the best shape he had been in for years and moved like he had never moved in his whole career. Was a far better performance than the one he put in against fury, for sure.

Still...none of that likely matters as fury will be overwhelming favourite and justifiably so. He went to new levels against whyte, for me. Never rated wilder but whyte was dangerous and he was pretty much punch perfect, albeit that whytes corner has to take some of the blame for sending him out as a southpaw and trying to fuck around with what made him dangerous in the first place

Fury will absolutely destroy him, in fact Fury at 50% his usual self would beat Joshua with ease

What did Jimmy Carr say?

Re: Fury v Joshua
I think you probably need to look at the calibre of those bigger guys.

Klitschko is his standout win, and let's be fair, the 40 year old could and should have had him out of there. What other top big heavy has he looked so good against?

His most complete performance was arguably Povetkin, a smaller heavyweight.

His performances against bigger heavies has generally been pretty good – most of his struggles have come against smaller, shorter fighters; so may have more than a punchers chance.

Good point. Seemed to have a great uppercut prior to him getting beat, haven't really noticed it as much in his recent fights. Probably easier to land on a taller opponent, less restriction/more leverage? Council Scum?

As mad and improbable as it might logically sound. I think Joshua wins the first of this trilogy.

Jimmy Carr. The man who had a hair transplant, and who says the word CUNT in a really posh voice for comedic effect.

Let's all listen to that guy.

Joshua's comments on race seem to have coincided with his religious conversion

Some of the posts on here demonstrate very well exactly what it was that Jimmy Carr was taking the piss out of.

Eerie Descent 7:04 Tue Sep 13
Re: Fury v Joshua
Joshua absolutely had to take this fight. Fury proper called him out, if he didn't take it his credibility would've been done.

And yes, he massively cares about that, that was very clear after the meltdown.

Be good entertainment in the run up to Christmas, lots of nonsense, back and forth and little documentaries inside training etc which I generally enjoy more than the fight.

Then an excuse on fight night to get together and let’s face it, it will be interesting to see. Shame it’s not at the time when everyone was desperate for it but definitely still worth watching.

Re: Fury v Joshua
As others have said you can't say Joshua swerves anyone so credit where it's due. Just can't see how he wins though. Fury the better boxer and took everything Wilder threw at him and got up from one he shouldn't have got up from. Joshua will take it seriously, depends if Fury does.

"If / when he loses this, he’s done."

In terms of the world title picture. I still think there would be interest in a rematch with Whyte and a fight with Wilder should he decide to continue on.

Re: Fury v Joshua
fair play to AJ for taking this fight off the back of two straight defeats.
yes he will get paid a lot of money, but he is still showing a desire to fight the best out there.

you never know with Fury - he might not take this as seriously as he should.

at least we have seen the top 4 heavyweights all willing to fight one another.

Re: Fury v Joshua
Just can't see Joshua getting anywhere near Fury, who's been the outstanding heavyweight of the last decade.

Fury must think a victory is relatively straight forward, massive pay day, then finish with Usyk.

Re: Fury v Joshua
“ Been fashionable for a while now to dislike Joshua”

Didn’t it become more prevalent after his repeated racist tirades?

If a white boxer referred to ‘the superior white race’, I’d think that black people who still liked him were a bit weird and possibly self hating. I’d also think that whites who still liked him were a bit weird too, just not self-hating.

Re: Fury v Joshua
The result depends on which Fury turns up.
Joshua is too rigid and doesn't punch as hard as wilder.
